By now we know that VOIP requires high speed internet, so the question is do I have high speed internet.

The thing that I have discovered is that just because you are paying for high speed or broadband internet, that some providers are not always fast enough.

Can I transfer my landline phone number to VOIP?

With most VOIP providers, when you are signing up for the service you have the ability to transfer your existing phone number from your land line over to your VOIP line. I transfered my Verizon land line over to ACN Digital Phone Service (VOIP).
